What is in our Gluten Free Flour Blend blend

Brown Rice Flour is a light, stable, and pleasant whole grain that has a nutty flavor.

Potato starch is a light, fluffy starch that prevents baked goods from being too dense.

White Rice Flour — a neutrally-flavored flour to bulk up your blend

Cassava Flour is a mildly flavored, absorbent, and textured flour that can help make up for other flours’ lack of structure.

Tapioca Flour to mimic the stretchiness and elasticity of gluten

Xanthan Gum – another ingredient that mimics the texture and stretchiness of gluten.


Brown rice flour, 1 1/4 cups

2/3 cup potato starch (NOT potato flour)

1/4 cup cassava flour

1/4 cup tapioca (also known as tapioca starch).

1/4 cup white rice flour

1 tsp xanthan gum


Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.

Store in a cool and dry place (preferably a glass jar or other container that can be sealed) for up to 3 months. Store in the fridge or freezer for up to a year.

This blend can be used to replace all-purpose flour for your favorite recipes, including cookies, quickbreads, cake crusts, brownies and muffins, flatbreads, and crackers. It is also great as a breading.
